Adopt a English Bulldog (short coat)

Sacramento- Don Rickets is 1 year old and at only 38 pounds, he is pretty small for an English Bulldog. He came to us because of his foreleg deformities, like many English Bulldogs, has had some issues. This is to be expected with any bulldog, but he is the sweetest English Bulldog I have ever met. He doesn’t really care too much about the other dogs (all high thinks baby bulldogs are the best), he is a bit shy (can be hand shy especially when getting to know people). Even with his bad front legs, he gets around well and can run when he feels is appropriate. He just needs more socialization and confidence building. He had a prolapsed urethra shortly after coming to us so he had that surgically corrected and was neutered. He is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped as well. He is a lazy dog who wants a to be part of a family who will spoil him. He had a cherry eye pop up but it disappeared as well, so I assume that will appear again, although it is cosmetic. He has eaten taste of the wild his whole life and his coat is super soft. He was blue colored as a puppy but is more of a chocolate color now. He is looking for a home that understands the needs of an English bulldog and also has the financial means to keep them. They are the most expensive breed to upkeep but they are so cute, it is worth it! I love bulldogs personally, I love their personalities, their stubbornness and their laziness. He was born 12/26/16, so he is just a young guy. His personal demands would be stairs to allow him on the couch (his favorite place). We are crate training him. It is hard to get the diva to go outside (have to carry from the couch most of the time) but when he does he is good about going potty. He is one of those bulldogs who will swallow a rope toy or chew on your laptop, so I think, for his safety, he should be crated. But overall, he is just an easy going little guy, who will chase you and demand pets.
